Starter Salad w/ Root Vegetables
Such a great night last night, joining dear friends for a dinner preview at Brezza Cucina -- Ponce City Market's newest culinary addition to an already stellar roster of foodie favorites. Seasoned Chef Jonathan Waxman, whose noted career is rooted in the West Coast kitchens of Chez Panisse & Micheal's and currently on the East Coast in NYC's Barbuto, is spearheading the refined rustic Italian inspired restaurant.
Partnering with Waxman is local Atlanta chef Adam Evans. Fans of Evans' cooking know him from his acclaimed dishes at The Optimist, the Westside kitchen he helmed since its inception in 2012. His recently appointed tie to Brezza Cucina only further emphasizes the restaurant's desire to ground the space within the community, sourcing simple flavors and in-season ingredients from our area's farmers.
Brezza Cucina is scheduled to open soon. Its location is right next to Williams-Sonoma's pantry mecca. As diners, we were each asked to order something different off the menu in an effort to provide the kitchen a development value and to become absolutely spot-on at crafting these delicious dishes.
