My last 3 weeks have been dedicated to helping in any which way I can, the Saving Sweet Briar campaign.... I mentioned in a previous post, my thoughts since hearing the abrupt announcement on March 3rd, that my beloved alma mater, Sweet Briar College, will close in August 2015. In an effort to raise awareness of our mission to overturn the President & Board of Trustees decision, I have been reaching out to friends & family with daily updates of our progress.
This included turning to longtime friend, Jenny Levison, who is known here in Atlanta as 'Souper Jenny', and the founder of now 5 cafes around town. Her freshly prepared daily menu of the most mouthwatering soups, salads, sandwiches always draws a huge Lunch crowd. I should know, I worked for Jenny way back when in 1999.
I asked Jenny if she would be willing to help our cause, and without hesitation, she has generously agreed to donate a portion of the proceeds on FRIDAY MARCH 27th, to Saving Sweet Briar, Inc. So, come out and support us and eat a fabulous Lunch -- at either Souper Jenny's Buckhead location or its sister cafe around the corner, Cafe Jonah.
