One of the On Demand features I tend to make the most of are renting films that have just opened in theaters.... Friday night, we watched "The Longest Week", which was released that day. The film is written and directed by Peter Glanz, and shot within the backdrop of NYC in the late Fall. The style of the film - story & scenery - is reminiscent of the work of Wes Anderson and Woody Allen, with Glanz layering in notes of Parisian flair. A happenstance love triangle forms amid the newly found life circumstances of the lead character Conrad Valmont, played by Jason Bateman. Additional cast credits include Olivia Wilde, Jenny Slate, and Billy Crudup. Stills from the movie included below followed by the trailer.... Highly recommended!
