With family in town since Friday, their visit quickly turned into a culinary tour of Atlanta.... Which basically means hitting all my favorite spots around town. Our itinerary below....
FRIDAY
- Lunch at The Cafe at Cakes & Ale -- chicken salad on toasted grain bread with a side of greens (photo above)
- Stop into La Calavera Bakery
- Dinner at Sotto Sotto
SATURDAY
- Morning coffee at Dancing Goats
- Lunch on the go picked up at Whole Foods
- Late afternoon Almond Milk cappuccino at Rev Coffee Roasters in Smyrna
- Dinner at Parish
SUNDAY
- Morning coffee at Dancing Goats
- Picnic lunch from the goodies at Alon's -- including my favorite Chocolate Chunk Pecan Cookie
- Dinner at The Optimist -- which served their version of a Caesar salad - The Little Gem Salad - one of the best we've had!
MONDAY
- Morning coffee at the Tavern side of Ink & Elm
- Stop for lunch at Star Provisions -- they also sell Mast Brothers Chocolate (and I'm pretty sure the only place in the city that does), so I couldn't resist getting a couple of bars
- And since its next door, a must visit to Jeni's Ice Cream
- Late afternoon cappuccino at Octane Coffee on the Westside
- Dinner at No. 246
TUESDAY (and on the way to the airport)
- Octane Coffee Grant Park for cappuccino and pastry & quiche from The Little Tart Bakeshop
