Opening day for Souper Jenny's Decatur location is officially tomorrow, February 14, but Mr. Ferguson & I stopped by this evening for the preview party and got the opportunity to sample Jenny's signature soups & sandwiches, free to all attending. If you've clicked on the "About" tab at the top of this blog, you've read that I worked for Jenny some 10+ years ago at the start of her soup journey and at her original teeny tiny Buckhead location. She has continued to grow the business & make her mark on the Atlanta food scene. Jenny acquired the storefront next door to Souper Jenny Buckhead and expanded her square footage to accommodate more seating for patrons, she opened a second cafe around the corner  - Cafe Jonah and the Magical Attic, and even added a fresh juice bar to her roster - Juicy Jenny (written previously about here).

The Souper Jenny location in Decatur is in a light filled space with glass walls on 2 sides looking out onto W Ponce De Leon Ave and the old Decatur courthouse. Menu is similar to that of its sister cafe - 6 fresh soups daily (the one constant being "My Dad's Turkey Chili) and ever changing selection of fresh sandwiches & side salads. Jenny will also be stocking freshly prepared Juicy Jenny juices too. Souper Jenny Decatur is open Monday - Saturday, 11am - 6pm.
