The day before Christmas Eve, we found ourselves heading out for a little last minute shopping and to the stores located at the main crossroads of Virginia-Highland. On our approach through the neighborhood we pass by an original 1-story storefront that is nestled off the beaten path of N. Highland Avenue and houses maybe 5 small businesses. Occupying the prominent light-filled corner space is Bla Bla, the most charming children's accessories shop. Owners Susan Pritchett and Florence Wetterwald offer an assortment of hand-knitted toys (supported by fair-trade artisans in Peru) and custom designed home goods. Included below are some of Bla Bla's handcrafted wares.
