President Gerald Ford and Betty Ford commissioned architect Welton Becket in the late 1970s to design a residence in Rancho Mirage, CA that the couple would occupy following their term at the White House. After 30+ years of ownership, the home was sold in March of 2012 for just over $1.5 million....
