Victoria and Richard MacKenzie-Childs (pictured below), founders of the artisan crafted tabletop & accessories company that bears their name, have listed their magical storybook home on the market. Priced at $975,000, the sprawling 42 acre estate is located in the idyllic Fingers Lakes area of New York and features 7 bedrooms, 6 baths, a separate carriage and guest house, and lush & flowering lakeside grounds.
This avant garde couple are no longer associated with the MacKenzie-Childs company, but have created a new venture Victoria and Richard Emprise.... full of their custom designs and artistic spirit.
I've included the interiors of Atlanta based residential interior designer Caroline Willis' cottage home. Caroline is known for a design style focused on a soothing color palette, thoughtfully chosen furniture placement, and carefully edited accessories. She credits these honed skills to her previous employers, noted designers -- NYC based Mariette Himes Gomez and Atlanta based Dan Carithers.
Pictured above are recent sales from my Duchess Fare + One Kings Lane's Vintage & Market Finds page.... I am passionate about highlighting unique & classic decor with a little history, patina, and style. Many thanks for all the support!

Chef David Sweeney, owner of the dearly loved vegetarian restaurant Dynamic Dish, whose doors closed at the end of 2010, has been serving up his signature dishes at the best kept secret in town. You can find Chef Sweeney at The Bakery at Cakes & Ale in Decatur, and enjoy his savory soups, fresh veggie plates, and hearty sandwiches. I call The Bakery the best kept secret, because you can easily walk in & sit down for lunch on a Saturday and not wait in any sort of a line for a table.... this seems practically unheard of at any decent cafe in Atlanta on a weekend!
The Bakery is open MON 8:30am-3:00pm / TUE-THUR 7:30am-9:00pm / FRI-SAT 7:30am-11:00pm / Serving Brunch on SUN 11:00am-3:00pm. In addition to lunch, The Bakery offers light breakfast fare in the morning, desserts in the evening, and coffee, cappuccino, and freshly baked pastries throughout the day.
We went for lunch this past Saturday.... the staff couldn't be nicer, my cappuccino & croissant absolutely delicious, and our lunch, well.... take a look at what we enjoyed and you'll get picture! I ordered the mix plate of sides, with Quinoa, Pesto Green Beans, a Variety of Tomatoes, & Cole Slaw (above) and Mr. Ferguson ordered the Roast Beef on Crunchy Grilled Bread, with a side of Slaw (below)

Kearsley Lloyd is the founder and creator of Tipsy Skipper, a fashion accessories line with design details reminiscent of seaside locales. Following her graduation from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in graphic design, Kearsley gained insight and knowledge of the accessories market through internships at Vineyard Vines and Lilly Pulitzer. She launched Tipsy Skipper in 2010, with a collection that continues to feature bright poppy colors and patterns, with all items made in the USA.... links for the items pictured above found below.
Couldn't help but notice the photos from last night's Teen Choice Awards splashed across the web this morning.... I'm probably dating myself at this point, but Kristen Stewart's hair (braid on one side, hair swept over the shoulder on the other) reminded me so much of Demi Moore in the 1986 film, One Crazy Summer. Moore and co-star John Cusack were quite the Hollywood stars of the 1980s.... Kristen Stewart and her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson exemplify today's set of young sought-after actors.
Nestled within bungalow houses on a lush tree lined street in an intown Atlanta neighborhood is this absolute darling gem.... Little Free Library. As its title suggests, free books are offered in various subjects, with participants restocking shelves as needed. What a perfect way to promote reading and community partnership!

Following yesterday's late afternoon thunderstorm moving through, we made a last minute decision to head over to the BB&T Atlanta Open tennis tournament.... I have tickets for us to see the semi finals on Saturday, but when I checked in on Tuesday's schedule of matches and noticed James Blake would be playing the evening session, we hightailed it over!
The BB&T tournament is taking place at Atlantic Station, in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. 3 courts have been erected.... all provide great seats for viewing today's top men's tennis players. The photo above is taken from our vantage point last night, with James Blake defeating Ryan Harrison. The men's singles & doubles tennis continues today through Sunday.... Tickets are available online or at the box office on site. The purchase of a ticket gets you an assigned seat at Stadium Court and access for first-come, first-served seating at Grandstand Court and Court 3.

I've never met a Tunic top I didn't like.... This summer style staple is designed with straight lines, slightly shorter length sleeve, pop up Mandarin collar, bright color, and decorative details. The longer length takes wearing this top from day to night effortlessly -- from the beach as a bathing suit cover-up to an evening dinner as a dress or worn over pants. Included above are some stand out styles currently available, link details below....
