Claiborne Swanson Frank
The very chic, fashionable, and business minded trio of sisters, the Swanson's, continue to leave their stylish mark on the pages of shelter magazines. Alexis Swanson Traina's San Francisco home was featured in the September 2011 issue of Elle Decor and Veronica Swanson Beard's NYC home was recently featured in the October 2011 issue of Harper's Bazaar and her Hamptons beach house was photographed for the June 2009 issue of Elle Decor (read more from my post here).
Seems only fitting that Claiborne Swanson Frank's Manhattan residence should take center stage as well. The interiors of Claiborne's 1,300 square foot apartment are photographed for this month's Elle Decor. She is a newlywed in a new home and fortunately didn't have to look too far in getting decorating advice. Claiborne turned to her mother-in-law Cynthia Frank (a seasoned interior design resource & Elle Decor's contributing editor at large) for help in seeking out furnishings at antique shops & auction houses throughout the city. As a photographer, Claiborne's artistic eye and ability to capture details on film spills over into the design of her space... her mix of select art work, simple accessories as statement pieces, with chosen color & patterned fabrics layered on solid upholstery makes for a very personal and polished home.
