First things first, a must visit to Danny Meyer's Shake Shack... the new location opened this summer in Westport. Taking over a former nondescript restaurant space, the remodeled exterior incorporates new roll up style doors, outside deck, and the interior received a fresh redesign. Our burgers and fries were tasty and the chocolate milk shake was creamy and delicious!
You can choose pickles, lettuce, tomato, and/or onion as toppings for your burger -- they are not considered an additional charge
Next stop, the brand new Whole Foods. The store is huge and seemingly designed to accommodate every imaginable detail of cooking & health needs. I couldn't get over the eye catching displays of product and the abundance of local purveyors featured as well. Plus, in addition to shopping carts, shoppers can use a pull around basket on wheels - super clever!
1 of 2 displays featuring an assortment of dried peppers & mushrooms
Self serve olive oil station
An abundance of coffee beans
Local Brooklyn, NY bean to bar chocolate makers -- Mast Brothers
An aromatic display of bath salts
I haven't noticed these baskets in our Atlanta Whole Foods....
Following a couple of stops at local consignment stores, we headed for a much needed afternoon cappuccino at our long time favorite Port Coffeehouse, serving organic and fairly traded coffee.
Ahhhh.... Cappuccinos
