Legendary American Antiques dealer Albert Sack died over the weekend in Durham, NC. Mr. Sack was 96 years old. His lifetime was consumed with a highly successful career working in the antiques business for the firm that his father established at the turn of the century, Israel Sack, Inc. The Sack family name has become synonymous with important American antiques and their former showroom in NYC was the preeminent destination to purchase fine American pieces. Mr. Sack was the author of The Fine Points of Early American Furniture: Good, Better, Best, which became the base line reference for guidance in examining & understanding antiques.
