K2 Construction's newly renovated office space -- Buckhead
On my drive to my client's house through the original & established leafy streets of Atlanta's residential Buckhead neighborhood, I couldn't help but notice a house that had recently sold, had just placed a sign out in its front yard noting upcoming renovation work. I recognized the sign's logo, K2 Construction, from previous design articles showcasing their custom & detail oriented work, and had just read about K2 Construction's own remodel of their office & client meeting space in the June 2011 issue of Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine. K2 Construction's owner Kevin Kleinhelter didn't have to look too far for help in furnishing his office space, his wife is home interiors boutique owner Lee Kleinhelter of Atlanta's Pieces.

K2 Construction's newly acquired office space became available through happenstance.... the previous tenant departed due to a water leak, vacating a space ripe for renovation & redesign. Conveniently, the space is located in the basement of the building that houses Pieces, not only allowing for Kevin and Lee to expand into more work space within the same footprint, but also showcase both their highly polished craftsmanship & artistic skills. Kevin repositioned the interior to accommodate his & hers offices with a central client meeting area. Lee took to installing a blend of contemporary & vintage furnishings with pops of color, a style for which she and her shop are known for -- in this case, tones of black, white, & yellow, with a layering of textured & natural wood elements, and a little gloss for sparkle. A couple of Lee's chosen furnishings are available for purchase through her shop.... check out more below.
