The interior design work of 2Michaels, a firm owned by twin sisters Joan and Jayne Michaels, continues to be highlighted in various design forums. I first got a look into their own apartments back in the Fall when New York Social Diary featured the interiors of each sister's NYC dwelling and a revealing question & answer conversation about their lives thus far. The Spring 2011 premiere issue of TRAD Home tapped 2Michaels as one of their "20 New Traditional Designers to Watch", and showcased one of their client's home -- a San Diego, CA house filled with fine Mexican art and treasured goods. And in today's NY Times Home section, Joan & Jayne offer up their chic suggestions for perfect Summer House furnishings.... not only keeping in mind style, but the importance of comfort & function.
