Elle Decor December 2010/January 2011
2 weeks ago, my subject post was on a mountain home located in Ketchum, Idaho, crafted by the mother & daughters' design team of M. Elle Design. I have my husband to thank for turning me onto blog design to inspire, who had previously featured the home's exterior & interior, highlighting a selected palate of refined furnishings and subtle colors. This project is a family affair, the home is owned by M. Elle Design partner Mary Lynn Turner, as a getaway spot from their Newport Beach, CA home for her husband and 3 children to enjoy. Daughters Marie & Emily split duties -- Marie serves as design partner to Mary Lynn, Emily rounds out the financial side, keeping an eye on the numbers. Working with architect Bob White, the trio opted for a compound style residence, designing a total of 5 buildings positioned on the river side site, each with a purpose of form & function.
