Head over to Hawthorne House in Athens, GA on Sunday November 21st for their 'Annual Holiday Trio of Events'. From 1:00pm-4:00pm, shop Hawthorne House's new arrivals for gifts & home furnishings and get inspired by their custom designed room vignettes, with their most recent addition, a series of children's rooms. At 4:00pm, join Susan Hable (co-founder of the textile company Hable Construction) and Jay Reardon (president of Hickory Chair), as they lead a discussion on the collaboration of textile designer with furniture maker -- influenced by the recent partnership of Hable Construction custom designed fabrics for Hickory Chair. {Please Note: Space is limited for this talk, so be sure to call Hawthorne House to reserve your spot}. Rounding out the evening from 6:00pm-8:00pm is local cookbook author Gena Knox, on hand to sign copies of her most recent book, Southern My Way. Not to be missed while mingling at Hawthorne House, delicious treats to munch on provided by Chef Peter Dale of Athens restaurant The National & Atlanta restaurant Empire State South.

I am super excited to hear Susan Hable speak.... she and her sister Katharine Hable Sweeney founded Hable Construction in 1999. The business is based in New York City, but I've recently read that Susan has relocated to Athens.
