The White House is staying mum on the designer and price tag of the newly freshened Oval Office, only disclosing that nonprofit White House Historical Association absorbed the costs for the re-design. Details left from the previous administration - like Laura Bush's sunburst designed rug - have been replaced with more subdued warmer tones. New case pieces in cotton/velvet fabrics, re-upholstery of existing furniture, and the addition of stream line accessories (lamps, coffee table, etc...) plays up to more of a den feeling, rather than a formal living room.
