Ikat, a weaving and dying process, is a traditional method of fabric print making associated with South American and East Asian cultures.  Recently, I've spotted Ikat prints emerging in the form of fresh and contemporary home furnishings and fashion accessories.  Check out the following images pulled from the latest issues of shelter magazines.

Ikat Bowls, Anthropologie / $14.

Elle Decor, May 2010.

Ikat Quilts, ABC Carpet & Home (second row center) / Elle Decor, June 2010.

Ikat Diamond Print Scarf, Piperlime / $25.

Ikat Top, Jules Reid (top right) / Town & Country, July 2010.

In Style, July 2010.
